On September 22nd, in his first official act as Executive Director of the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council (FPISC), Richard Kidd finalized the inventory of existing infrastructure projects considered to be “covered” under the requirements of Title 41 of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST-41). The 34 projects on this list were selected in consultation with council members and after careful consideration of FAST-41 statutory definitions. Designated lead agencies now have 60 days to develop a clear and concise Coordinated Project Plan (CPP) for each covered project and ensure its contents are posted to the project dashboard as per the requirements of 42 U.S.C. §4370m-2(c)(1)(A).
Additional projects may be added to the covered project inventory in the coming weeks and months. Project sponsors are encouraged to nominate other projects for consideration.
