Description:

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to replace the existing northbound and southbound San Jose Creek Bridges, which are located in the City of Goleta in Santa Barbara County on U.S. Route 101 (US-101) at Post Mile (PM) 21.6. US-101 runs through California, Oregon, and Washington and connects cities located along its alignment. Within project limits, US-101 consists of a six-lane concrete conventional highway, with three lanes in each direction. The area surrounding the proposed project is primarily urban and residential, but also includes commercial and industrial land uses.
