A Supplemental Environmental Assessment (EA) is being prepared for proposed land acquisition, new primary runway 9/27, and closure of existing primary runway 16/34 at Amelia Earhart Airport, Atchison, Kansas subject to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the lead federal agency for the NEPA document. Original Final EA included land acquisition and construction of primary runway 9/27 with FONI/ROD issued 4/9/15.
