Description:

Update: This project was changed from EA to CATEX after coordinating with resource agencies and finding no resources would be impacted.

An Environmental Assessment (EA) is being prepared for proposed development at the Bloomfield Municipal Airport subject to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the lead federal agency for the NEPA document.  

The proposed project at the airport includes the following:
• Land Acquisition (25 acres in fee, 14 acres in easement) for Runway 18/36 approach and departure protection
• Drain and fill ponds on existing airport property to eliminate hazardous wildlife attractants 
• Construct approximately 12,500 linear feet of fencing to delineate and prevent intrusion onto airport property
