Description:
Due to growing traffic volumes along County S, the study will evaluate alternatives to improve safety and traffic flow. Kenosha County is considering reconstruction and possible expansion of County S to address growing traffic volumes, and to enhance safety in the project corridor by addressing roadway deficiencies that include substandard shoulder width, vertical alignment, stopping sight distances, and clear zone. The physical condition of the roadway (pavement, shoulders, base beneath the pavement) is nearing the end of its useful and cost-effective life.
