Description:
The Downtown Dallas Transit Project is studying the options for a second Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) light rail alignment through downtown. A Draft EIS was circulated in March 2010. The proposed D2 Project consists of approximately 2.4 miles light rail alignment with up to five new light rail stations in the Central Business District of Dallas. A Locally Preferred Alternative and design options are being studied. The D2 Project will increase system capacity, provide operational flexibility, and serve new markets.
