Description:

The proposed project is the development of a 23-acre area (Parcels 53 and 54 located in the northwest quadrant of the airport), known as the Mesa Hangars/Davcon Development project. The development will include the construction of aircraft hangars that may include office and aircraft manufacturing space. Specifically, the project will include up to 400,000 square feet of aircraft hangar space, as well as approximately 48,000 sq. ft. of office/administration space for the aviation businesses which rent the hangars, approximately 383,000 sq. ft. of aircraft staging ramp, and approximately 235,500 sq. ft. of vehicle parking area.  Initial design concepts show hangars to accommodate corporate jets, fixed-wing aircraft, and helicopter uses. These hangars may include office space to support tenant employees. It is anticipated that the surface vehicle parking areas will accommodate 522 vehicles.

Additionally, the development will include the installation of aviation fuel storage tanks and a fuel distribution system. It is anticipated that the fuel system will include up to three fuel storage tanks for Jet A and 100LL avgas fuel, ranging in size from 10,000-30,000 gallons. Underground and above ground storage are both being considered.
