Description:
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) to evaluate the transportation needs of the interchange at the I-15 South Main Exit (Exit 57) in Cedar City, Iron County, Utah. The EA identified the best solution to improve existing and future traffic congestion in the interchange system, including adjacent signalized intersections, while taking into account any potential impacts on the natural and built environments. The EA was signed on 8/15/2024 and an open comment period was available to the public until 10/7/2024. UDOT signed a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) on 12/4/2024 that can be viewed on the project website.
