Description:
The proposed project would include the construction and widening of travel lanes in each direction on the existing Interstate (I) 24 to increase the total number of lanes from four to six lanes along the existing alignment. The NEPA study would begin at the I-24/I-59 interchange in Georgia and extend to the I-24/US-27 interchange in downtown
Chattanooga, a length of approximately 10 miles, 2.47 of which are in the state of Georgia.
