Description:

Caltrans and the City of Los Angeles, in cooperation with the 110 Improvements, LLC, are proposing operational improvements to reduce congestion, improve safety, improve local transit connectivity and street traffic circulation, and improve traffic operations. The proposed project includes adding auxiliary lanes on SR-110 in the southbound direction from the Amador Street On-Ramp to the US-101 Connector and in the northbound direction from the Figueroa Street On-Ramp to the Hill Street On- Ramp. This will require reconfiguring mainline on and off-ramps, constructing a 4-lane multi-modal bridge from Figueroa Street to Chavez Ravine Place with buffered bike lanes and sidewalks, replacing the College Street Bridge and providing wider sidewalks and bike lanes, removing the Alpine Street Bridge and replacing the Hill Street Off-Ramp Overcrossing.
