Description:
An Environmental Assessment (EA) is being prepared for proposed development at the Le Mars Municipal Airport subject to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the lead federal agency for the NEPA document.
The project includes:
• Extend Runway 18 by 150-feet
• Construct new aircraft turnaround and remove existing turnaround
• Relocate existing Runway End Identifier Lights (REIL)
• Acquire approximately 61.8 acres of property to facilitate construction and control safety areas
