Description:

Utah Transit Authority (UTA), together with project partners (Taylorsville, West Valley City and Murray), is proposing to implement a 7-mile BRT project with 1.4 miles of exclusive lanes and transit signal priority for the length of the project.  The project will offer frequent and reliable BRT service connecting two existing transit hubs at each end of the line, along with several established and emerging employment centers, commercial and retail destinations, and the flagship Redwood campus of the Salt Lake Community College (SLCC).  Service will be provided between the Murray Central Station and the West Valley Central station with 15 stations. Ten clean-fuel or electric buses will be procured to provide the BRT service. The Midvalley Connector project will help residents and visitors connect to education, housing and employment opportunities in the Salt Lake Valley.
