Description:
Marin County Route 223, also known as Pierce Point Road, begins at the intersection with Sir Francis Drake Road (County route 5001) and proceeds northerly for approximately 9.2 miles ending at McClures Beach Trailhead. Pierce Point Road is located entirely within the Point Reyes National Seashore and is maintained by Marin County. The proposed project consists of a rehabilitating all of Pierce Point Road which is 9.23 miles long. Improvements will consist of pavement widening & rehabilitation along with clear zone improvements, and repair or replacement of approximately 36 culverts and 4 cattle crossings.
