Description:

The RapidRide Roosevelt Project (Project) is a partnership between the City of Seattle and King County Metro to implement a bus rapid transit (BRT) serving City of Seattle neighborhoods from Downtown to Roosevelt. The Project proposes to improve transit travel times, reliability, and capacity by providing high-frequency, all-day transit service and enhancing connections with other transit modes. The Project would provide 24-hour high-quality, electric trolley BRT service along an approximately 6-mile long corridor. It would include 26 new BRT stations and 2.3 miles of new transit lanes. The Project would also improve pedestrian and bicycle connections to BRT stations by providing 5 miles of new protected bicycle lanes and approximately 200 ADA-compliant curb ramps and other pedestrian improvements. Alternatives include a No Build and a Build Alternative.
