Description:
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a restoration project of storm-eroded embankment on State Route (SR) 62 between postmile (P.M.) 124.0 and 142.0 in San Bernardino County.
The project will construct concrete/rock slope protection systems (RSP) at 10 desert wash locations. This protection system starts at the edge of traveled way and consists of a plain concrete slab for drainage purposes and a non-erodible concreted rock side slope. The approximate dimensions of these RSPs are 200 feet long by 80 feet wide. In addition, the installation of rumble strips along the concrete slab will alert drivers against running-off the road.
