Description:
The Seldovia Bay Ferry Dock Refurbishment Project proposed by Seldovia Village Tribe would relocate the existing floating ferry dock in the City of Seldovia, Alaska approximately 40 feet closer to the shoreline, and rotate it approximately 90 degrees. This reconfiguration would lessen the impact of northerly wave swells on the structure. The existing dock is not safe or functional for vessels or pedestrians. Since the construction of the existing dock approximately ten years ago, the piles are no longer secure and shift during wave swells. The purpose of the Project is to refurbish the existing dock to bring it into a usable, safe, and sustainable condition. Alternatives considered include a No Build and a Build Alternative.
