Description:

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to dig out and repair localized areas of severe pavement failure and place a Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA) overlay on the roadway surface throughout the project limits. The project limits are on SR 4 from Golden Gate Avenue Overcrossing at SR 99 in the City of Stockton in San Joaquin County to 0.5 mile east of Dunton Road in Town of Telegraph in Stanislaus County.

The scope of work also includes rehabilitating 23 culverts at various locations, removing and replacing bridge rails at Duck Creek Bridge (# 29-0053) in San Joaquin location, upgrading and/or installing warning signs, removing and upgrading existing guardrails and dikes at locations warranted, construct new sidewalks and upgrading existing sidewalks and curb ramps in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and placing shoulder backing and rumble strips.
