Description:
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to replace the California Aqueduct Bridge (Bridge No. 50-0323 post mile 17.44) on State Route 166 in Kern County. The bridge is 2.2 miles east of Old River Road and 5 miles west of Interstate 5. The bridge was built in 1968 and is about 400 feet long. State Route 166 at the bridge location is a conventional two-lane highway with two 12-foot lanes and 8-foot shoulders.
