Description:

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to to repair roadway pavement, comply with Americans with Disabilities requirements, and replace sign elements.  

.The project would also include: 
-    Overlay the full width of the roadway from PM 5.1 to PM 6.5 and PM 9.5 to PM 16.4 with 0.2 ft Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA). 
-    Cold plane 0.2 ft of asphalt from PM 6.5 to PM 9.5 and resurface the entire width with 0.2 ft RHMA. 
-    Widen the intersections at Harney Lane and Kettleman Lane to accommodate the STAA truck-turn movements. 
-    Increase the length of the acceleration lane at SR12/SR88 intersection on the east bound right merge lane to improve the operation. 
-    Install centerline rumble strip from PM 5.1 to 12.0 and install centerline and edge rumbles strips from PM 15.5 to 16.4. 
-    Include various TMS elements and two Maintenance Vehicle Pullouts (MVP) at PM 11.3 and 13.45 
-    Upgrade roadside signs and replace dikes. 
-    Upgrade existing guardrails and install two new guardrails at PM 11.3 and 13.45. 
-    Install/upgrade ADA elements in Lockeford including, but not limited to, sidewalks, driveways, curb ramps and detectable plates.
