Description:
The Texas Department of Transportation is proposing improvements to I-35 from US 290 West/State Highway (SH) 71 (SH 71) to SH 45 southeast (SE) in Travis County, with a transition area extending to Main Street in Buda, Hays County. The proposed improvements would add two non-tolled managed high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes in each direction, reconstruct intersections and bridges to increase bridge clearances and east/west mobility, and improve bicycle and pedestrian accommodations along I-35 frontage roads and at east/west crossings. The project length is approximately 10-miles (mi). The project would require the acquisition of approximately 13.45 acres of right of way (ROW). There would not be displacements as a result of the proposed project.
