Description:

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in conjunction with the City of South San Francisco and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (SMCTA) are the sponsors of the United States (US) 101/Produce Avenue Interchange Project (the project) in the City of South San Francisco, within the County of San Mateo. The project would construct a new overcrossing of United States Highway 101 (US 101) in the City of South San Francisco. The new overcrossing, referred to as the Utah Avenue extension, would connect the Utah Avenue/South Airport Boulevard intersection on the east side of US 101 to San Mateo Avenue on the west side of US 101. The intersections of Utah Avenue/South Airport Boulevard and San Mateo Avenue would also be reconstructed to include turning lanes, and to connect to the new overcrossing by a through lane on San Mateo Avenue. The Airport Boulevard/Produce Avenue/San Mateo Avenue intersection on the west side of US 101 would also be modified or reconstructed.
