Description:

The proposed project would construct an additional 12-foot-wide travel lane in each direction and separate the northbound and southbound travel lanes. Most of the corridor would include a 68-foot-wide grassy center median, 4-foot-wide inside shoulders and 10-foot-wide outside shoulders. Portions of the corridor where there is more development would include a 16-foot-wide flush median (two way left turn lane) and 10-foot outside shoulders. Several utilities will require relocation for the proposed project and improvements require the acquisition of additional right-of-way (approximately 570 acres). The proposed ROW width within the grassy median section would be 250-foot to 420-foot wide. The proposed ROW width within the flush median section would range from 160-foot wide to 260-foot wide. The most constrained area in the center of Adamsville would include the same 4-lane roadway section but with a 16-foot-wide flush median (two way left turn), curb and gutter, and 6-foot sidewalks.
