Description:

The following improvements are proposed to improve mobility.
US 90 main lanes
The project would add a third main lane each way between SH 211 and Loop 410, thereby expanding main lanes from four lanes to six lanes between IH 410 and SH 211. This will match the 6 lane section that begins at IH 410 and continues to downtown San Antonio.
US 90 frontage roads
The project would add new, one way frontage roads to both sides of US 90 from Loop 1604 to SH 211. New ROW is required in this area for the frontage roads.
US 90 Ramps
New ramps would be constructed in conjunction with the new frontage roads. Recent projects adjusted ramps in the remainder of the project limits; however additional ramp revisions may be included in the project.
Interchange Improvements
• SH 211 Interchange - A variety of designs will be considered in the process of developing the build alternative here. Innovative intersections will be considered.
• Loop 1604 - Direct connectors would be constructed between US 90 and Loop 1604.
• Montgomery Lane - Expand Montgomery Rd / John Ryan Blvd grade separations, add U-turns
• Hunt Lane – At-grade improvements would be proposed here.
