Description:

The Muncy Creek Exploration Plan of Operations proposes mineral exploration for copper, zinc, molybdenum, and silver in the Ely Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and on private lands in White Pine County Nevada. The larger, proposed project boundary (claim area) covers a total of 97 acres, 75 acres on National Forest System lands and 22 acres on private lands.

Exploration activities are proposed to occur over a ten-year period in phases and include drill pad construction, exploration drilling, road construction, and road maintenance. Phase I includes the construction of six drill sites, and nine additional drill sites are proposed over additional phases for a total of 15 drill sites. There are 9.1 acres of disturbance and 2.3 miles of road are proposed on National Forest System lands. Total project disturbance on public and private lands would not exceed 15 acres and 4.1 miles of road.

This project is posted in the interest of transparency and response to Executive Order 14241.
