Description:
The State of Wyoming Water Development Commission (WWDC) proposes to expand the existing Leavitt Reservoir near Shell, Wyoming, from a pool of 643 acre-feet to 6,404 acre-feet. As proposed, a new 1,800-foot earthen dam will result in a reservoir surface of 193 acres. The purpose of the project is to provide late season irrigation for agriculture in the Shell Valley.
