Description:
On June 18, 2020, the Commission issued a certificate order authorizing the project sponsor to construct and operate the MVP Southgate Project, approximately 75.1 miles of natural gas pipeline and associated aboveground facilities in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and Rockingham and Alamance Counties, North Carolina. On December 29, 2023, the project sponsor filed a letter with the Commission stating that it is pursuing a redesigned project. As noted in the letter, the project sponsor has yet to finalize the scope and timeframe of the redesigned project and “is evaluating the permitting and regulatory roadmap for the project . . . and will provide additional information to the Commission and other applicable permitting agencies as it continues with project development.”
