Description:

During the course of project development, it was determined that the following project could be down scoped and qualify as a categorical exclusion (CE). A CE was finalized on 7/18/2018 and the project is considered complete.

CEs are not required to be tracked on the Dashboard.

This project proposes structural preventative measures for the bridges to keep their structural integrity and delay major rehabilitation. Erosion control measures are proposed for the waterways were needed, to restore the bank and bed erosion and protect them from further material loss. The scope, type and extent of work varies for each structure.

General description of the proposed work is: Back fill eroded areas, place rock slope protection, rehabilitate reinforces concrete columns, protect reinforcements from corrosion, replace bridge approach slabs and joint seals, treat bridge deck with Methacrylate, paint bridge deck and remove silt buildup from a culvert. Temporary Construction Easements (TCEs) are required for five bridges: BR 39 0035L, Br 38 0062, Br 38 0039, Br 29 0014, and Br 29 0008R. Water diversion is required for San Luis Wasteway, and canal shutdown are required at Arroyo Canal and Snake Ravine.
