Bluepoint Wind, LLC (Bluepoint Wind), the lessee of Renewable Energy Lease Area OCS-A
0537 (Lease Area), proposes to construct and operate an offshore wind project in the
western 42,429 acres of the Lease Area with associated offshore and onshore facilities. The purpose of the Bluepoint Wind 1 Project is to generate and deliver renewable energy from offshore wind to New York and/or New Jersey. The Wind Development Area is located approximately 43.7 statute miles off the New York coast and approximately 61 miles off the New Jersey coast. The Project will include up to 102 wind turbine generators with an anticipated capacity of up to 1.2 gigawatts.
